The BEST Learning Toys from LAKESHORE LEARNING – Holiday Gift Guide #4 by [The Purple Alphabet] – Video

Hi, I’m Christina from Purple Alphabet! I hope you’re all excited because today’s video is sponsored by Lakeshore Learning. They have some great educational products that you don’t want to miss, as well as really, really good giveaways.

🎉 November is flying by so fast and we’ve been looking for holiday gift guides. This month I’m going to show you some great gifts that you might want to put on your kids’ wish lists, or maybe give to someone else who’s in charge of putting together their holiday wish list.

In today’s video I’m going to show you my favorite piece and at the end of the video there will be a competition sponsored by Lakeshore Learning. Trust me, it’s really, really good. I love Lakeshore Learning, they have a lot of great learning products. There’s still a chance to come back and watch my previous Purple Letter Christmas videos as the giveaway is still open and you can still win.

I will be hosting giveaways throughout November. So if you haven’t seen my previous videos be sure to check them out again. But don’t worry, I’m here for you. You’ll find all the goodies in the description box and there’s a link to my Amazon store if you want to shop or even get some inspiration. I know you’re wondering where to find all the good stuff.

“Nuts and Counting” Learning Set.

The first one I’m going to show you is the Nuts and Counting Learning Kit. This is a counting game for children aged three and up.

The set includes 55 nuts, 10 screws, and an instruction manual to give you ideas on how to use the game. Each nut has a number on one side that corresponds to the length of the bolt. This way you will know how many nuts to use.

For example, if a nut is already a number, you cannot add another nut, so you can only have ten screws of different colors. This is a great way to learn to count concrete numbers. By twisting up and down, kids can count and install the exact number of nuts based on the screws.

This is a fun way to learn the numbers 1-10 while practicing your fine motor skills. The twisting action is the perfect combination of manipulation and fine motor learning that kids will love.

You can use this set for counting activities (like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) or numerical order activities (like 1, 2, 4) to put things in order. It’s a great tool for learning to read because you can place the bolts in the correct order and watch the visual representation grow in size over time. This is also useful and helpful for children who need simple prompts such as “find the number 2”.

If something is a little difficult, you can give the child two bolts so they can start small and instead of asking where it goes, actually put it there. This is a great visual representation for kids to count and find answers. You can also learn “greater than” and “less than” by adding or subtracting a screw, or even simply subtracting it.

Play and explore Rocket Box

Next I have the Play & Explore Rocket Box. This is a giant rocket toy set for kids ages three and up. I can’t wait to show you this!

The rocket is out of the box and I’m going to put it next to my forearm so you can see how big it is. Its large size makes it perfect for imaginative play.

The top opens and rises like a real rocket. There are two astronauts inside that your child can pick up and stand up on. Aren’t they adorable? They wore small spacesuits that were fastened with snap buttons.

Inside the rocket are various items your child can take with them on their space adventures. You can even control a rocket ship or have breakfast inside. The last compartment at the bottom houses a collapsible rover that they can unfold and take to the moon.

This rocket offers many possibilities and is perfect for indoor and outdoor play. It’s perfect for encouraging imagination and storytelling, which are essential for child development.

Shaping and playing with sand

Last but not least, I have the mold and play sand set. I showed you this a long time ago and got great feedback. You love it!

This 12-piece set is suitable for ages 3 and up. It’s like a complete package with everything you need. The scope of delivery even includes a container for storing sand. It’s very sturdy, we’ve had it for a long time and love it. We also have a 22 pound bag of sensory sand and trust me, it feels good! We love how soft it is and how it sticks together. It is ideal for making molds.

The set contains different lock shapes that you can use to make various lock parts. There is even a popular style of brick building that uses small bricks.

You will also need a sanding roller and two modeling tools. The instructions give you ideas for playing and using the product. Children easily and immediately know how to use these shapes. It’s a satisfying feeling to pour in the sand, pound it, and smooth it out with a roller. You can also create paths and use the sculpting tool to write in the sand or create letter shapes.

This set is a great way to encourage sensory play, shaping and creating and letting your child’s imagination run wild. It’s perfect for imaginative play and storytelling.

Capture Dinosaurs

Finally, I have the Snap Dinos set. Perfect for dinosaur lovers ages 3 and up.

This set contains 38 wooden building pieces, allowing you to create different combinations and create your own unique dinosaur.

You can put different body parts together to see the different possibilities and combine colors. The wood quality is amazing and the components are sturdy. It’s a great tool for imagination and storytelling.
